“We Are Here. We Are Together.” Lida’s Story of Hope and Community

March 19, 2026

When Russian attacks destroyed her home city, Lida was forced to flee and begin again in Kryvi Rih.

In the midst of displacement and loss, she found more than safety at the local WeCare Center—she found a welcoming community. Surrounded by others carrying their own grief and hardship, Lida discovered a place of encouragement, belonging, and hope.

“We are here.
We are together.
We carry all the hardships and pain side by side.”

What began as a place of refuge became something even more meaningful. Today, Lida serves as a faithful volunteer at the WeCare Center, offering encouragement to other displaced women and walking alongside them in their own struggles.

Her story is a reminder that even in the middle of upheaval, God is still at work—providing comfort, community, and purpose. Lida believes God led her to this Center for a reason, and now she is helping extend that same care to others.
