“We Are an Easter People”: A Lenten Reflection from Ukraine

March 26, 2026

As Ukraine continues to endure the hardship and sorrow of war, World Help President Noel Yeatts recently visited UBTS and several of the 26 WeCare Centers serving communities across the country.

In this reflection, Noel shares what it means to face the painful realities of the present while holding firmly to the hope of Christ.

“We have to confront the reality here in Ukraine and the darkness that people are facing. But we are an Easter people with the hope of the resurrection.”

Her visit offered a close-up view of the compassion, faith, and resilience of the UBTS and WeCare Center teams—leaders and volunteers who continue to serve faithfully in the midst of great need. Even in a season marked by grief and uncertainty, their work is a powerful witness to the hope of the Gospel.

Your faithful support continues to strengthen this ministry and make that witness possible.
