Ukraine Partnership Foundation
The Ukraine Partnership Foundation (UPF) exists to help raise up dynamic Christian leaders in Ukraine, primarily by supporting the mission and work of the Ukrainian Baptist Theological Seminary (UBTS).
UPF directors and others had begun supporting this mission through church-directed funds as early as 2006. With a groundswell of interest for the work in Ukraine, UPF was established as an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization in 2011. Today, UPF continues to provide UBTS with financial and intellectual support.
Under the leadership of Yaroslav (Slavik) Pyzh, Ph.D., and with the prayers and generous support of many friends and donors, we have witnessed tremendous growth of an effective Christian educational institution in a key Eastern European nation – a nation that continues the struggle to recapture its cultural and religious identity after decades of Communist domination.
UBTS students and graduates are being transformed and, in turn, are transforming their churches, ministry organizations, and entire communities across the Ukraine and beyond.
By the Grace of God, UBTS is fulfilling a critical need to equip church leaders with the skills and spiritual values that will guide Ukraine’s future. UPF will continue to provide “behind the scenes” support for this effective “face of the ministry” as its impact as a community-changing agent expands.
