UPF can accept gifts of Cryptocurrency through Engiven, a secure, specialized donation platform for nonprofits.
  • Engiven accepts more than 95 different cryptocurriencies.
  • Your gift is converted into USD currency and deposited within 24 hours.

Make a gift from your assets.

Some donors choose to support UPF through investments or retirement assets rather than making a gift from current cash. Consult your financial, legal, or tax advisor to determine what is appropriate for your circumstances.

Stocks, Bonds & Mutual Funds

UPF can receive approved gifts of publicly traded securities and other eligible investment assets.

IRS guidance contains specific rules for charitable contributions of appreciated stock and other property. Individual results depend on the donor, the asset, and applicable limitations.
  • Contact UPF before initiating a transfer
  • Request current brokerage instructions
  • Tell UPF what asset is being transferred
  • Ask your advisor about valuation and reporting requirements

Give from an IRA

Eligible IRA owners may be able to request a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) made directly from an IRA to UPF.

IRS guidance explains that a Qualified Charitable Distribution is generally an otherwise taxable IRA distribution paid directly to an eligible charity for an owner age 70½ or older.
  • The IRA owner must generally be at least age 70½
  • The distribution must be sent directly to an eligible charity
  • A qualifying distribution may count toward an applicable required minimum distribution
  • Coordinate the gift with the IRA custodian and a professional advisor

Leave a Legacy Gift

Include UPF in a will, trust, beneficiary designation, retirement account, life-insurance policy, or another approved estate arrangement.
  • Bequest through a will or trust
  • Retirement-account beneficiary designation
  • Life-insurance beneficiary designation
  • Payable-on-death or transfer-on-death account
  • Other arrangements developed with your advisors

Giving with Confidence

We are here to help you complete your gift.

Some giving methods require coordination before a transfer is initiated. Contact UPF when making a gift by wire, securities, IRA distribution, international transfer, cryptocurrency, or through an estate arrangement.

Please do not send account numbers, payment-card details, brokerage credentials, or other sensitive financial information through the website’s general contact form.

For gifts involving taxes, investments, retirement accounts, or estate planning, consult your own attorney, accountant, financial planner, or tax advisor. UPF can provide organizational and transfer information but does not provide individualized legal, financial, or tax advice.
