Ukrainian Baptist Theological Seminary
Preparing servant-leaders for Ukraine’s churches.
Students do more than complete academic programs. They grow through mentoring, coaching, leadership training, Christian community, and hands-on ministry in local churches and communities across Ukraine.
Biblical. Missional. Accountable.
Why UBTS Exists
The health of the church depends on prepared leaders.
UBTS exists to train servant-leaders for the local church according to their God-given potential.and to help each student develop a commitment to life-long personal and spiritual development.
The Seminary’s work is shaped by a conviction that theological education should produce visible change beyond the classroom. Its success is ultimately measured in the health and impact of local churches—through Godly leadership, discipleship, evangelism, compassionate service, and the development of new leaders.
Formation that reaches beyond the classroom.

Lifelong Development
A Shared Culture
Values practiced in learning, leadership, and ministry.
UBTS seeks to form more than knowledgeable graduates. It develops people whose core values shape how they live, lead, and serve.
Biblical
Love God and love our neighbors.
Scripture shapes the student’s worldview, identity, character, and approach to ministry.
Missional
Express love by being of service to all people.
Students are prepared to serve both believers and those outside the church.
Accountable
Fulfill our responsibilities to God and others with wisdom and integrity.
Students understand and faithfully fulfill the calling they have received.
Education in a Time of War
The mission continues through extraordinary circumstances.
Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine placed new pressures on students, churches, families, and educators and ministry leaders throughout Ukraine.
UBTS responded first by opening its campus to thousands of internally displaced people and provided shelter, food, medicine, safe transportation, and spiritual care. As Russia’s war continued, the Seminary resumed its educational work while students, faculty, and alumni served people through humanitarian initiatives, which grew into the WeCare Center network that now operates throughout Ukraine.
Today, UBTS continues to prepare leaders who can minister faithfully amid trauma, displacement, uncertainty, and the long work of rebuilding communities.
