We are in the fiery furnace … but we clearly understand that Christ is here with us.
When invading Russian forces pushed the war’s front line into Druzhkivka, the WeCare Center there – which includes a school, bread bakery, and church community – was forced to evacuate.
For several months, the Center’s brave staff, assisted by other WeCare Centers, coordinated the complex and dangerous relocation of people and resources to new facilities 300 miles away. Staff and volunteers, most of them retirees and young people, loaded over 88 tons of supplies and equipment for transport to Cherkasy, where operations are resuming. The team also is helping a number of displaced families from Druzhkivka – and their own families – find suitable housing.
